About Us
Gerakan Hutan itu Indonesia (HiI) is an open movement focusing on building collaboration between individuals and organizations to raise awareness on the key role that forests play in the lives of all Indonesians through positive messages. The movement’s goal is for forests to reclaim their position as a key identity of Indonesia as a nation that lives harmoniously with forests. Since its launch in April 2016, the movement has created a campaign momentum through several fun and creative campaigns, which successfully demonstrate how the power of collaboration can raise not only awareness on the issue, but also channel real contribution and participation from people of all walks of life. The movement has been growing to reach 40 partners spread in 17 cities in Indonesia, and has developed campaign programs in 8 cities. It is supported by around 305 volunteers that have become the backbone for the campaign movement of Hutan Itu Indonesia.
