About Us

The ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) was established in 2009 with the main purpose of promotion and protection of human rights in ASEAN. AICHR’s work is guided by its Terms of Reference (ToR) and the 2012 ASEAN Human Rights Declaration (AHRD).

In accordance with the ToR of AICHR, each ASEAN Member States shall appoint a representative to the AICHR for the period of three years and maybe consecutively re-appointed for only one more term.

The Representative of Indonesia to the AICHR, with funding from the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands, will implement programmes that focus on human rights promotion and protection in ASEAN, the implementation of AHRD and the strengthening of civil society engagement in ASEAN. To achieve these aims, the Representative of Indonesia to the AICHR is seeking for Indonesian nationals to hold the following positions.
