About Us

Widya Erti is an Indonesian non-profit organization in the form of Foundation which was legalized on September, 2014 before Notary deed of Maria Gunarti SH, MKn (Deed no.32).

Widya Erti Indonesia was previously known as World Education Indonesia. It was founded by World Education an organization who have long experience in some development field such as design and provide trainings, community development, education, sustainable agriculture. To continue vision, mission and program, World Education Indonesia transformed into Widya Erti Indonesia upon the phasing out of World Education from Indonesia.

Widya Erti Indonesia is independent not affiliated with any institution, religious or political affiliation. It’s not also affiliated with World Education which is based in Boston, USA, but it is run by people who have experience in designing, managing and running World Education programs in Indonesia. World Education is also provide advices and technical assistance to Wydia Erti Indonesia. WEI has long experience design, managing and running World Education Indonesia’s programs, and very familiar with its methodology, system and principles which still relevant to current conditions and may be adjusted according to the context and needs.
