Can you help create a standard for quality learning provision and a standard for assessment of competencies for humanitarian workers?
The drafting process is underway. Input from you as a member of the humanitarian community is crucial at this stage.
Please join us for a workshop in Manila on 4 July 2017. Together we will identify the key commitments and content for the standards. An overview of the workshop agenda is available here.
Your input will feed into a pilot draft. The draft will be available in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish, launching in October as a free resource for the sector. For more information about this project and the consultation process please see our website and consultation Terms of Reference.
This workshop is free, but spaces are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. There will be a limit of 2 persons per organisation. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
Please forward this invitation to your colleagues and contacts with an interest in learning provision and assessment of competencies for humanitarian workers.
For alternative and additional ways of contributing to the drafting process, including one-to-one meetings and focus group discussions please visit our online calendar to see the team’s in country availability or contact us directly at Angharad.Evans@redr.org.uk
Organisations who are unable to cover the cost of attending the workshop: there are some limited funds available to subsidise attendance (travel, accommodation and subsistence). Please contact Angharad.Evans@redr.org.uk for more information.
This is one of six regional workshops that will inform the structure and content of the draft standards over the coming months. This work is part of a broader initiative, aiming to ensure that workers in the humanitarian sector are more effective in their roles.
