About Us
The Island Foundation works to strengthen learning ecosystems and improve student learning experiences and outcomes in remote small island and coastal communities. Through a bespoke Learning for Sustainability program, our work is structured across three pillars of intervention: lessons for primary school students delivered at our Learning Centres, Local Teacher Training sessions to improve teacher quality, and community engagement activities that promote the importance of childhood learning.
The Island Foundation is a registered international charitable organisation in Singapore, with programming delivered through Yayasan Peduli Kepulauan Indonesia in Bintan Regency, Kepulauan Riau.
