In 2019, the IKEA Foundation committed $10 million over the next three years to help accelerate the transition to a renewable energy economy. New Energy Nexus Indonesia and partners will use this funding to expand an existing acceleration program to eight major cities in Indonesia, support 60 startups and educate more than 6,000 people. Startups and developers will receive coaching on how to provide electricity to off-grid communities along with $4 million in seed funding to help get their products and services to market.
