About Us
AidPost is a Canadian social
enterprise founded in 2013 by senior aid professionals from various countries.
It is part of a consortium of national associations of NGOs and unions of
journalists in Asian and African
countries.
Its
mission is to strengthen CSOs capacity to perform their roles as independent
development actors more effectively, through a technological platform supporting
their communication, mobilization and networking needs.
To be managed by local operators in a
sustainable and autonomous manner, the national platforms aim at increasing the
capacity of CSOs and the vulnerable groups they assist to actively participate
in governance, social development, and inclusive growth.
The
platforms facilitate the exchange
of useful information between development actors; support resource mobilization
from the public; stimulate open discourse and networking; provide an
alternative and a springboard to mainstream media; and support freedom
of expression.
