Job Description
J-PAL Southeast Asia (J-PAL SEA) is producing a video highlight of our knowledge exchange event held last year between the governments of Indonesia and Egypt. The video will serve as a tool to broaden the reach of the event and raise public awareness about the importance of evidence-based policymaking. The final product will be a short video, approximately 5 to 10 minutes long, compiled from existing footage and documentation captured during the event.
We’re looking for a video editor or small production team to help us produce the video.
Project Assets Provided:
- All the raw footage (Event highlights and interviews)
- A clear storyline and structure
- Subtitles in three languages
Scope of Work:
- Producing a professionally edited 5–10 minute video
- Editing and assembling footage based on the storyline
- Embedding subtitles throughout the video
- Adding on-screen text with motion graphics (animated text elements to enhance viewer experience)
- Adding royalty-free background music that complements the tone of the video
Timeline:
- Project duration: Approximately 3 months, with around 3 rounds of feedback and revisions
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in video editing and motion graphics (showcased in portfolio)
- Proficiency in video editing software
- Strong attention to detail, especially with subtitles, pacing, and music syncing
- Familiarity with sourcing and using royalty-free music
- Strong time management and ability to meet project deadlines
