The USAID Technical and Management Support to scholarship providers (USAID TEMAN LPDP) Activity is a five-year project that aims to enhance the effectiveness of scholarship providers and strengthen the capacity to manage scholarships, build university networks, and undertake sustainable system-level reforms of policies and practices. The goal of this project is to increase the number of Indonesian students receiving LPDP-funded scholarships to U.S. graduate programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

USAID TEMAN LPDP is looking for Technical Associate to support the Technical Leads for Institutional Management and Technical Lead for Scholarship Management. The role will focus on programmatic areas, collaborating with US universities and also partnering with Government of Indonesia’s institutions.

Detailed Tasks:

The Technical Associate for Institutional and Scholarship Management will work closely with two Technical Leads: 1) Technical Lead for Institutional Management, 2) Technical Lead for Scholarship Management and other USAID TEMAN LPDP team. He/she will cover selected USAID TEMAN LPDP activities, meet with beneficiaries, and support the two Technical Leads in daily activities. Specific activities as follows:

  1. Support programmatic activities, such as communicate with universities from US and Indonesia, Government of Indonesia institutions, and others,
  2. Support administrative tasks, such as providing letters, arranging meetings and travels, etc
  3. Maintain contact lists,
  4. Generate reports,
  5. Take accurate minutes of meetings,
  6. Handle multiple activities,
  7. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed,
  8. Work with other USAID TEMAN LPDP’s team members such as MEL, Finance, & Communication team,
  9. Ensure all communication products align with USAID Graphic Standards Manual,
  10. Help formatting USAID TEMAN LPDP Report.
  11. Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner,
  12. Manage Technical Leads appointments,
  13. Provide polite and professional communication,
  14. Any other work related to the program as requested by the Chief of Party USAID TEMAN LPDP.


  1. Demonstrates professional experience working in the partnership & scholarship field.
  2. Experience working with civil society organizations, local government, and individuals from affirmative and marginalized groups.
  3. Excellent writing skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  4. High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Understands the sensitivity of issues related to education.
  6. Experience working with USAID programs is preferred.
  7. Attention to details.


The Technical Associate for Institutional & Scholarship Management reports to Technical Lead for Scholarship Management and works closely with other USAID TEMAN LPDP team.

Home Based:

This position will be based in Jakarta.

Anticipated Travel:

Travel outside of Jakarta to USAID TEMAN locations is expected and will follow IIEF policy regarding COVID-19.

Monthly Salary:

Ranges from IDR 15 million – 18 million (gross) depends on the experience.
