Banyan Global is implementing the U.S. Agency for International Development Partnerships for Productivity (USAID PADU) Activity in Indonesia. The five-year Activity, initiated in 2022, aims to enhance private sector investment in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions through partnerships with private sector firms and government-run vocational training centers called Balai Latihan Kerja (BLKs) in the provinces of Banten, East Java, North Sumatra, and South Sulawesi. The key objectives of the Activity are:
- Increase and strengthen partnerships between private sector and BLKs to implement market-driven and inclusive vocational training programs and
- Improve BLK strategic partnership institutional capacity to implement market-driven and inclusive vocational training programs.
Banyan Global is recruiting a Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) Coordinator who will support technical leadership and strategy development for partnership-driven institutional strengthening for TVETs as it relates to national and subnational public-private partnership development at national and sub-national level, including identifying and collaborating with Indonesian and international private sector actors to promote increased investment in TVETs. The PPP Coordinator will be based in Jakarta, work closely with the provincial-based PPP Specialists and report directly to the PPP Manager. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for provincial staff and ensure efficient and effective coordination and communication between provincial and national staff members.
- Support development of the design and implementation of national and sub-national private sector and TVET engagement strategies and partnership mechanisms to support TVET programming.
- Support design and implementation of data-driven methodologies, needs assessments, skills gap analyses, and other activities in support of public-private partnerships.
- Support best public-private partnership strategies, approaches, methodologies, and tools.
- Oversee day-to-day management of the Activity client relations tracking system (Agile CRM).
- Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems, processes, and reporting related to public-private partnerships, including learning workshops, knowledge sharing events, and knowledge and communication products.
- Contribute to content development of a Private Sector Partnership Toolkit, and support advocacy efforts to maximize adoption of the Toolkit by partners and counterparts.
- Support quality and timely submission of project deliverables and work products related to public-private partnerships and capacity building.
- Support adaptive management needs through identification and development of new or improved work procedures, as necessary.
- Help to ensure adherence to all relevant U.S. Government and Banyan Global policies throughout project implementation.
- Other related duties as assigned by the PPP Manager.
Qualifications
- Indonesian citizen with basic professional fluency in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in field of study relevant to international development, workforce development, or government relations.
- 5 years of demonstrated professional experience related international donor-funded development programming (USAID-funded program experience, preferred). Professional experience related to private sector engagement, national and subnational government relations, and/or workforce development, desired.
- Basic understanding of and ability to support design and delivery of advocacy and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team to prioritize tasks, problem solve and manage a variety of activities in a timely manner with attention to detail and positive results.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office application packages like Excel, Word, or other customized project management software and comfort in a Windows PC environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically.
