I.                  PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The Program Manager will work with some of Indonesia’s leading private sector companies to help them achieve meaured improvements in workplace gender equality within their organisations.  They will:

1.      Help companies to set gender equality goals and develop, implement and monitor initiatives that will see them achieve greater gender equality within their organisations.

2.      Train companies in the use of assessment tools so that they can measure the current state and improvements in workplace gender equality.

3.      Provide high quality support to ensure partner companies remain focussed and enthusiastic and maintain momentum towards gender equality goals

4.      Develop and deliver training initiatives to help companies create and foster a gender inclusive workforce.

5.      Act as an organisational change and human resources advisor available to member companies to help them develop inclusive policies and practices.


II.                JOB ILLUSTRATION


Work closely with member comapnies to:

§  Assess workplace gender equality levels in the workplace using best practice diagnostic and assessment tools.

§  Develop organisational improvement programs, based on the result of the diagnositc assessments.

§  Advise on and support the implementation of strategies, actions, policies and practices that will lead to improved gender equality witin the workplace.

§  Monitor and evaluate progress towards gender equality goals using the organisation’s gender equality action plan and follow-up assessments (in consultation with the IBCWE Executive Director and member working group)

§  Collect organisational data to inform key stakeholders and build the business case for gender equality within Indonesia’s private sector

§  Provide trainings related to workplace gender equality to member companies

§  Support and motivate member companies to ensure they remain engaged and committed to working towards best practice in workplace gender equality.


§  Design and develop the workplan and strategy for this workstream, in accordance with IBCWE’s business plan and objectives (in consultation with the Executive Director)

§  Develop, roll out and monitor individual work plans for each partner company, to support them in reaching their gender equality goals

§  Ensure IBCWE and member companies have the most up-to-date information on workplace gender equality and lead knowledge sharing of best practice based on the result of program activities and relevant seminars, workshops and learnings.

§  Create support for the chosen approach (objectives, planning etc), update and consult relevant stakeholders regularly, manage expectations of relevant stakeholders during execution, involve stakeholders in decision making and build and maintain a network of relevant stakeholders.


III.              JOB DIMENSION

Autonomy and supporting colleaguesCoaches junior colleagues, checks the work of others and provides feedback and input for appraisal




 Formal EducationBachelor Degree (S1), majoring in HR management and/or organizational development
Experience and competencies§  Minimum of 5 years experience in organizational management, operations and human resources

§  Have the experience in consultancy work for corporation

§  Have the experience in managing assessment tools such as ISO.

§  Experience in change management, inclusion and diversity is preferable

§  Have knowledge in gender issues, workplace relations, and women empowerment

§  Have networks across the private sector, civil society and government in Indonesia

§  Understanding of Indonesian business law would be an advantage

§  Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills

§  Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in multicultural environment.

§  Having conceptual and analytical thinking to identify key issues, underlying problems, and how they relate

§  Generates creative, practical approaches to overcome challenging situations
