JOB DESCRIPTION

●          Support and advise the Communication Directors in strategic planning, direction and budgeting related to media targeted content and media outreach activities.

●          Informing the Communications team and the organisation on the media landscape and evolving issues in the public.

●          Measure the impact and effectiveness of the CISDI’s content targeted to the media.

Building CISDI’s media presence

 

●     Research, write, proofread and edit reactive and planned press releases related to CISDI’s programs, activities, recommendation and policies to targeted media.

●     Research, write, proofread and edit articles and op-ed related to CISDI’s research, advocacies and policies to targeted media.

●     Finding media opportunities to showcase CISDI’s programs, advocacies and policies.

●     Lead organizer of press conferences, press briefings and other types of events that are mostly catered to the press.

●     Monitor the performance of press releases and CISDI’s presence in the media.

●     Finding and managing speaking opportunities for CISDI’s staff on media outlets and channels.

●     Providing technical and content support for CISDI’s speakers when needed.

●     Provide media training for CISDI’s spokesperson.

●     Finding and establishing media partnership opportunities to increase CISDI’s profile and raise public health issues awareness.

●     Lead media partnership projects in all the phases: exploration, the proposal writing, negotiation with partners, budget preparation and review of partnership agreements.

●     Responsible for media partnership related content creation, which can include writing, proofreading and/or editing articles.

 

●        Targeted contents produced according to CISDI’s communications team standard.

●        Partnership projects implemented and executed within CISDI’s values and standards.

●        Events organized according to CISDI’s communications team standard.

●        Routine and timely media monitoring updates.

●        Increased media exposure for CISDI to increase the organisation’s credibility and awareness on public health issues.

●        Providing post partnerships and speaking engagements, analytics and evaluations.

Develop content for owned channels.●        Research, write, proofread and edit reactive Twitter threads on evolving issues of CISDI’s interests.

●        Develop, write, proofread and edit content for CISDI’s website and social

media channels (LinkedIn).

●        Contents produced according to CISDI’s communications

●        team standard.

 

Build long-term relationships with influential media.

 

●        Organizing workshops, fellowship or media visits for members of the press, when required.

●        Conduct regular media visits and media liaison activities.

●        Supervising media database maintenance and updates.

 

●        Events organized according to CISDI’s communications team standard.

●        Liaison and regular contact with relevant media as scheduled and targeted.

●        Meaningful and stronger collaborations formed with various media.

●        Updated media database according CISDI’s communications team standard.

Staff leadership and management.●     Lead and supervise the members of the media team in implementing the media strategies and planning accordingly.

●     Work with individual team members for the performance planning and evaluation.

●     Ensure effective learning and growth process in the media team.

●      Regular team meetings and monitoring

●     Annual performance planning, individual development plan and performance review

 

Communications team support

 

●     Support event organization and campaign coordination as needed, especially related to media relations, such as sending invitations to members of the press and writing press releases.

●     Supporting the Communications Manager to review, edit and post social media content, as a back-up.

 

●     Activities are performed timely and well organized within CISDI’s standards and values.

Project Support●     Work with project managers/lead and program team to support and provide communications aspects and needs, such as media and communications strategy, reports, publications materials, press release, etc.

●     Ensure all communications aspects and output in projects are according to the established standards.

●     Assess and evaluate the communication impact in relations to the program targets.

●     Approved communication strategy and schedule within the program planning and implementation

●     Communication programs and plans are implemented timely and according to the set standards

●     Regular evaluation and report on progress, achievement, and impact of communication in programs

 

 

A.      Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in communications/media or related
  • More than 3 years-experience of work experience as a journalist or
  • Demonstrable experience in leading a
  • Previous experience and/or being comfortable in conducting press
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimum
