Activity Summary
Koalisi Ekonomi Membumi (KEM) is a collaborative movement advancing inclusive and regenerative economy principles rooted in Indonesia’s local wisdom and environmental stewardship. Since 2022, KEM has worked across sectors and regions to catalyze sustainable enterprises that protect forests, peatlands, and other vital ecosystems while improving community livelihoods.
KEM is developing an integrated investment strategy and governance system to enable responsible capital deployment for nature-based and forest-linked enterprises. Within this context, KEM supports forest-based business actors, including PBPH permit holders, to transition from single-commodity extraction toward diversified, value-added, and market-oriented enterprise models aligned with sustainable forest management and bioeconomy objectives.
To support this mandate, KEM is seeking a consultant or organization to deliver desk-based market intelligence, buyer and investor mapping, and high-level PBPH–commodity fit analysis for priority NTFP and agroforestry commodities (including essential oils, botanicals, forest spices, coconut derivatives, cocoa, and coffee).
