Who We Are
Kaleka, (kaleka.id) is an Indonesian non-profit research institute established in 2014 with aims to sustainable and equitable production of commodities and use of natural resources by engaging governments, business, and social communities. As we scale up, we are seeking motivated and skilled professionals to join our team and support our mission.
Key of Responsibilities
- Conduct legal analysis and draft village regulations related to Sustainable Village initiatives.
- Analyze cases handled by paralegals at the village level.
- Assess and analyze legal conflicts related to palm oil plantation operations at the village level and assist supervisors in facilitating conflict resolution strategies.
- Support the development of paralegal initiatives, including formation, monitoring, monthly discussions, training, and connecting paralegals with regional and national forums.
- Support the development of Legal Aid Organizations (OBH).
- Facilitate the recognition process of Indigenous Peoples’ Rights (MHA) at the village level.
- Draft legal documents such as Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MoU), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other legal instruments.
Requirements
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s degree in Law is preferred).
- Having 2 years of experience in similar role.
- Interested in sustainability and community empowerment issues.
