Financial Controller

Yayasan Konservasi Indonesia (KI), the main partner of Conservation International (CI) in Indonesia, with offices and project sites across Indonesia, we are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual for the position of Financial Controller. The Financial Controller is responsible for financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control for actives projects. This role ensures the financial budget and financial expenditure by working closely with managers and budget holders to provide accurate financial insights and support.
Key responsibilities include developing, monitoring, and managing budgets, conducting detailed financial analysis, and preparing financial reports for senior management and stakeholders. The Financial Controller ensures compliance with financial regulations and donor requirements and identifies process improvements to enhance financial efficiency. This position does not manage staff. Duties are performed under general direction and subject to regular review
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and provide detailed reports and analysis to management for corrective actions.
- Ensure verification and support to the preparation of budgetary planning and monitoring to allow for qualitative budget management
- Control the reporting to ensure expenditure follows the Grant Agreements
- Monitoring and tracking of financial performance and identification for all active projects
- Assisst, monitor, and oversee budgets in collaboration with program managers and budget holders
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including variance analysis and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, including donor requirements.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Up to 2 years of work experience in financial control, budget management and financial analysis with experience in a non-profit global organization is advantageous
- Proficient and experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Experience with financial systems and software.
- Experience in business partnering and working with a variety of mangers / budget holders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Organised, able to multi task and prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude, service focus, and work as part of a diverse team.
