We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised and dedicated applicant for our office in  Muaradua, Sumatra Selatan, Indonesia:

Finance Officer

Full-time, 1 year contract: extendable

The position would start as soon as possible (ideally in October 2022) and will be based in Muaradua, Sumatra Selatan. He/she will be embedded in a highly committed, 28 member-strong Indonesian team currently working towards improving livelihoods of 15,000 farming families and 600 farmer organizations in Sumatra Selatan and Sumatra Utara.

Role Purpose

Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Coordinator the Finance Officer will be form part of the team responsible for the smooth execution of the day-to-day financial operations, including petty cash management, accurate and timely payments and cost bookings, systematic filing and retrieval system of documents, periodic reporting, and project planning.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation/Update of monthly salary report (salary, pension, health insurance, personal income tax)
  2. Check and review Monthly Advance reports and requests.
  3. Responsible for Input of bookings into financial Journal and Finance system.
  4. Advise management on expenditure prognosis and depletion rates
  5. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and yearly planning and reporting.
  6. Prepare process payments & Create bank payment transactions.
  7. Responsible for Filing Documents (Finance & Admin HR)
  8. Compliance checked for all financial transactions
  9. Assist in preparation of Tax declarations
  10. Preparation of local budgets for new projects.
  11. Evaluate cost distribution among projects, strive for cost covering planning etc.
  12.  Prepare budget shifts, participate in budget review meetings
  13. Any other tasks are required

Required profile:

  1. University degree in Finance/Management accounting
  2. Minimum 5-7 years working experience within an INGO or similar.
  3. Ability in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
  4. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word Excel
  5. Knowledge of SUN Systems or similar is an advantage.
  6. Good knowledge of the Indonesian Tax system and Familiar with SPT (Experience with tax accounting and declaration is an advantage.)
  7. Ability to solve problems, show initiative and work independently.
  8. Respond to requests, queries in timely and customer-oriented manner.
  9. Attention to detail, particularly with regards to expense transactions and financial reporting
  10. Candidates who are domiciled in South Sumatra & Lampung are encouraged to apply.
  11. Ability to drive a motorbike and manual-transmission car

Salary will be negotiated according to experienced.
