BACKGROUND
Perkumpulan Keluarga Berencana Indonesia (PKBI)/ Indonesian Planned Parenthood Association (IPPA) is a nation-wide NGO concerning on SRHR issues and particularly attuned to the needs of vulnerable and marginalized groups. We are a passionate group of professionals based in Jakarta, PKBI has 25 Chapters and 185 branches and 23 clinics in Indonesia. Working with diverse groups from communities to government officials and international NGOs, we are working towards the fulfilment of sexual and reproductive health. As the pioneer of SRHR movement in Indonesia, we firmly belief is that personal welfare and good health, and national prosperity are dependent to a large degree on access to SRH information and services.
Requirements:
Indonesian Planned Parenthood Association is seeking a committed individual to fill the position as Executive Director.
• Indonesian citizen.
• Available to work full time.
• Ages between 35 – 55 years old.
• Minimum education Bachelors (S1) in any major and experience in building and managing partnerships with non-profit organization, business, and government sector for at least five years.
• Have the ability in leadership, administration, management, and planning, and communication strategy.
• Able to work in a team.
• Demonstrate strong understanding and concern for the fulfilment of a right based approach to sexual and reproductive health, with the sense of tolerance for vulnerable, marginalized and minority groups. Able to manifest these ideas into concepts, and sustainable programs in the opinion essay as stated in application process.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
• Proven success track record in a leadership position overseeing operations of an organization or program while maintaining solid relationships with Staff, Board, Partners, Donors, and Community.
• Have wide network with stakeholders in the field of reproductive health and sexuality within donor institutions, government, business, and non-government organizations.
• Experience with and committed to working in a very diverse situation and Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Have organizational skills, able to negotiate and able to present controversial ideas elegantly/diplomatically, preferably those who have experience in collaborating with the business world and international donor institutions.
• Willing to leave working relationships with other parties and/or administrators/members of certain political parties, as evidenced by a Statement Letter and signed on stamped paper (if selected).
• Willing to work by fulfilling the principles and values of PKBI which uphold Human Rights, diversity, and inclusiveness.
• Work experience in PKBI as a Volunteer/Staff for at least 3 years is an added value. If the candidate is in a structural position in the PKBI organizational apparatus, they must be inactive during the selection process and willing to resign if selected.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the organization strategically in accordance with PKBI’s vision and mission.
2. Design and implement organizational policies to achieve work program targets.
3. Ensure the sustainability of PKBI’s programs through collaboration with national and international strategic partners.
4. Manage organizational resources, including finance, human resources, and infrastructure effectively and transparently.
5. Build and strengthen relationships with Stakeholders, including Government, Donors, Communities, and media.
