Overview

Jhpiego seeks Database and Digital Health Officer to work in USAID MOMENTUM Private Healthcare Delivery (MPHD) project. The Database and Digital Health Officer will support project management and technical assistance to MPHD in the strategic development, and use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in: health care service delivery at the health facilities, specifically hospitals; quality improvement collaborative; hub and spoke; and hospital mentoring, for both internal management systems and external technical solutions. This will involve the use of applications for mobile phones, tablets, and laptops; multimedia applications; e-Learning.

Responsibilities

  • To provide leadership in planning, design, development, implementation, and maintain use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to support decision-making and capacity building efforts.
  • Support maintenance and development of IT applications to support project implementation
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, the planning, design, implementation and evaluation of information and communication technologies for program activities; ensuring full integration of ICT into program activities to support effective and efficient project implementation and monitoring
  • As part of MEL Team, ensuring data management and reporting of the project are accurate and timely
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to lead and/or conduct any training, meetings or workshops and to ensure that program planning, development, resource availability and management activities function effectively and efficiently
  • Coordinate and provide guidance and training for staff and relevant partners on how to utilize the applications/systems
  • Advise the organization in the system strengthening strategies, documentation of systems, work plans, and budgets in Information and Communication Technology.
  • Contribute to annual work planning and budgeting
  • Assist project teams in preparing project data for presentation at regional or national conferences, and in preparing articles for publication
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required in Information and Technology
  • Experience working with USAID project is preferred
  • Experience working in technical areas in maternal, newborn and child health is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong eye for detail
  • Experience working in a research environment or information-generating context and designing data collection tools
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to inform decision making and changes in project course
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strong relations with key partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well as a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with human centered-design desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
