Banyan Global is implementing the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Partnerships for Productivity (PADU) activity in Indonesia. PADU is a five-year activity that aims to enhance private sector investment in technical and vocational and education training (TVET) institutions through partnerships with private sector firms and government owned vocational training centers called Balai Latihan Kerja (BLKs). Banyan Global is working to facilitate and catalyze the establishment of partnerships and investments to improve the capacity of BLKs to address skill gaps in the labor market and promote increased employability of BLK graduates. 


Banyan Global is recruiting an Indonesian Data Support STTA consultant to help collect, clean, and analyze data for the Activity in support of its implementation objectives. This position is anticipated to be three months in duration and will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. 


The Data Support STTA Consultant will provide support to the following: 

  • Identify relevant data sources and gather necessary datasets. 
  • Liaise with internal Activity stakeholders to understand data requirements and objectives. 
  • Use surveys and other data instruments to acquire data. 
  • Perform data cleaning and data validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency. 
  • Address missing data, outliers, and inconsistencies in datasets. 
  • Standardize data formats and resolve discrepancies. 
  • Use statistical software such as SPSS to perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. 
  • Identify patterns, trends, and correlations within the data. 
  • Generate summary statistics and create reports to communicate findings effectively. 
  • Create visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards, etc.) to represent key findings and insights. 
  • Maintain a comprehensive documentation of data collection, cleaning, and analysis processes. 
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and limitations, associated with data collection and analysis. 
  • Prepare written reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliverables. Participate in meetings and discussions to provide insights and support decision-making. 
  • Conduct data analysis and presentation results from USAID PADU KPIs. This will include collected data from various sources as a result of Activity data collection and monitoring. 
  • Perform other tasks as required. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in data collection, cleaning, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, with experience in other tools like R or Python as a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work seamlessly with diverse individuals.
  • Experience with data visualization tools is preferred.
  • Oral and written fluency in Bahasa required.
  • Oral and written fluency in English preferred.
