Country Representative

The Country Representative is directly responsible for the overall strategic planning, human resources, program design and implementation, program support operations, finance, administration, monitoring and evaluation supervision, expansion/development, and required reporting for the country program.

• Develop country specific strategic plan and proposals for programs that will successfully transition our relief programs to early recovery and transition to more long-term development programs
• Represent the organization and liaise with local and national authorities, UN, NGO, and donor agencies to promote the organizations programs, facilitate successful coordination of activities and ensure transparency and accountability to all stakeholders
• Oversee program operations and reporting, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures, Donor regulations and local laws
• Primarily responsible for expanding country portfolio
Updates on the above deliverables will be provided via email, WhatsApp and/or Skype as necessary. The Country Representative will develop reasonable timeframes for the completion of these deliverables and inform IMC HQ of projected completion dates.
Requirements Essential

(Indicate Degree/Certificated required ) University degree
(Identify specific experiences that are necessary for this position. For example, experience using certain systems / method or experience in a certain sector)
• 7-10 yrs of project management experience (management, planning, staff development and training skills) in emergency / development programs Working experience in IMC, especially in emergency response, is a plus
Local national
List technical expertise and soft skills required. Not exceeding 7 points
• Knowledge of various public donor regulations, preferred
• Significant experience in development programs, mainly in the health field (Health policy, health reforms)
• Must be able to carry out responsibilities independently with some support from within the organization, when needed
• Effective communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to function effectively in dynamic work environment, set appropriate priorities, and deal effectively with numerous simultaneous requirements
• Able to cope with stressful situations and work environment

Language(s) Austronesian, English
