In 2015 to 2019, Jhpiego through the “Pilihanku” program, seeks to support the Government of Indonesia (GoI) to increase the family planning services coverage, especially postpartum family planning (PPFP). The “Pilihanku” program has succeeded to increase the PPFP counseling coverage from 3.2% in 2015 to 79.5% in 2019 and increase the PPFP uptake coverage from 9.1% in 2015 to 42.5% in 2019.

Postpartum family planning (PPFP) is a proven intervention that prevents needless maternal, infant and child deaths as documented in numerous medical journals. The project will also aim to generate practical recommendations for wider PPFP scale-up as part of GOI initiatives.

The baseline will be conducted in all health facilities in 12 districts, aim to understand the implementation of PPFP counselling and uptake in the health facility, explore the recording and reporting of PPFP counselling and uptake services, and find out gaps the PPFP coverage before and after the project intervention.

Data collection method
